Connecting Your Scalable Press Account to Printalytics

Follow these simple steps to connect your Scalable Press account to Printalytics.

Integration Requirements

In order for Printalytics to work with your Scalable Press orders, the following requirements must be met:

  1. Your Scalable Press orders must correspond with individual orders from your Shop. Printalytics is not currently able to create accurate reporting for combined Scalable Press orders that correspond with multiple Shop orders.
  2. Your Scalable Press orders must reference your Shop's order IDs. To make sure your orders meet this requirement, go to your Scalable Press account and open the Orders tab on the menu, then select Placed Orders. Your Shop's order IDs should be displayed in the PO column of the orders list.

Step 1: Locate Your Scalable Press API Key

In your Scalable Press account, open the account menu by clicking your user name and select API Details. You will see 2 different API keys, one beginning with live_ and the other beginning with test_. Click the COPY button for the Live key to copy your Scalable Press API key to the clipboard.

Step 2: Add a new Scalable Press account to Printalytics

In Printalytics, go to the menu and select the Integrations tab, then select Print Services. Once the Manage Your Print Services page has loaded, click the Add Print Service button and then select Scalable Press.

Step 3: Enter your API Key

Now paste your Scalable Press store's API key into the textbox labeled Your Scalable Press API Key. Lastly, click Add Scalable Press Service to finish adding your account to Printalytics.

Step 4: Setup Complete

Once you have provided Printalytics with the API key, the rest of the process is automated. Printalytics will begin importing your order data and will be able to provide reporting for your Scalable Press orders after the initial import is finished.

Additionally, you can set up hooks after you have finished connecting your Scalable Press account to Printalytics. Hooks are not required but will improve reporting performance.


Step 5: Set up Hooks (Optional)

{secondary.fa-file-alt} NOTE: Setting up hooks is not required, but it will help Printalytics update your reporting faster.

Hooks are a way for Scalable Press to notify Printalytics whenever there are updates to your orders (for example, when an order ships). Printalytics will periodically check for order updates, so hooks are not required, but they can help Printalytics to keep your reporting more up-to-date.

To set up hooks, first go to the Printalytics menu and select the Integrations tab, then select Print Services. On the Manage Your Print Services page, select your Scalable Press integration. Once the Print Service Settings page has loaded, locate the Hooks URL line in the General Info box. Click Copy URL to copy the Hooks URL to your clipboard.

Next, in your Scalable Press account, open the account menu by clicking your user name and select Account. Scroll down until you locate the section labeled API webhook. Paste your Hooks URL into the textbox labeled API webhook URL.

Lastly, click the Save button at the bottom of the page to save the Hooks URL settings. Once the Hooks URL has been saved, Scalable Press will notify Printalytics about updates to your orders in real time.
