This section explains how to use the Sales Report to analyze your sales, costs and profits.
Every business needs to track it's sales and expenses, and print-on-demand shops are no exception. The Printalytics Sales Report makes it easy to see how much you are making and how much you are spending, both for individual shops & print services and for your business as a whole.
The Sales Reports lets you see your expenses & profits on average and drill down to see details for individual orders. This makes it easier to optimize your pricing and identify outlier orders that did not meet your goals due to higher than expected costs (as well as orders that exceeded your goals).
At the top of the Sales Report page, there are 3 drop down boxes that let you select the date range & which Shops and Print Services you want to see reporting for. If you have multiple shops or print services connected to Printaltyics, you can select them individually or choose to display reporting for all integrations.
At the top of the Sales Report page just under the integrations selector, there are 3 boxes showing a summary of your sales and revenue & costs breakdown.
Overview Box- This box shows and overall breakdown of your order count, revenue, costs and profits. Below the totals for each, you will find the same stat broken out per-order and per-day.
Revenue Box- This box shows a pie chart view of your revenue broken down by subtotal, shipping charge, tax/vat charged and discounts applied.
Costs Box- This box shows a pie chart view of your fulfillment costs broken down by subtotal, shipping cost, tax/vat cost and discounts received.
The Sales Performance Graph is a combined line & stacked bar graph showing your revenue, cost & profit for each time period. The time periods will be broken down into days, weeks, or months, depending on length of the date range you selected. If you hover over a bar on the graph, you should see a numeric breakdown of your revenue, cost and profit for that time period displayed on the graph.
The Sales Performance Details provides a table view of your orders, revenue, cost & profit for each time period. You can click the column headers to sort the table by revenue, cost, profit or margin. Click the
View Orders button to view details for individual orders in a particular date range.
On the Sales Performance Details table, you can click the
View Orders button to drill down to view details for individual orders in a particular date range. On the individual orders page, you will see the same information displayed in the summary boxes, but the Sales Performance Details will now contain a line for each individual order.
The table includes the order date, Shop and Print Service order numbers, profit, margin, and a breakdown of revenue and expenses for each order. You can click the column headers to sort the table by profit or margin.
